Best League Win:
9-2 v Thames 28/08/1920 Division 2
Last meeting: Cardiff City 1,
Norwich City 2 (February 9, 2008):
Welsh dragon Ched Evans produced a
magnificent goal two minutes from
time to give Norwich City victory
in his homeland. The 19-year-old striker
had given the Canaries the lead after
15 minutes against Cardiff City at
Ninian Park when he fired home from
a cross by Ryan Bertrand. Gavin Rae
equalised for the Bluebirds in first
half stoppage time after a misplaced
pass by fullback Matthew Bates. After
88 minutes, Evans unleashed a shot
like a guided missile from at least
35 yards to beat stunned keeper Michael
Oakes. Full

Last Norwich away win:
Cardiff City 1, Norwich City 2 (February
9, 2008)
Chances: A run to
the cup final highlighted how good
Jones’ Cardiff side can be.
But aside from the first eleven, his
squad does not seem to have much depth.
They do have one of the best midfields
in the division with the likes of
Joe Ledley, Stephen McPhail and Gavin
Rae, but they need to replace the
20 goals from last season scored by
the departed Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Jones will be keen to spend the £5m
or so secured from the sale of teenager
Aaron Ramsey to Arsenal.
