Best League Win: 8-1 v Middlesbrough 12/09/1953 Division 1

Last meeting: Norwich City 1, Charlton Athletic 1 (December 26, 2007): Charlton's Sam Sodje was shown a straight red for a two-footed lunge on Darel Russell. Having taken the lead just nine minutes earlier through Zheng Zhi, who left Gary Doherty on his backside before firing in a shot that David Marshall should probably have saved, Charlton had tried to get back into the game, but a resilient City refused to be pushed about. There is only so much a defence can take before it begins to creak, and when Russell got his head to Darren Huckerby’s corner on 73 minutes, City finally broke through and got the goal that their efforts deserved. Full Match Report

Last Norwich away win: 25/09/1991 Charlton 0, Norwich 2 (Gordon,
Newman)

Chances: Most expected Charlton to go up last season after relegation, but some awful form after Christmas put piad to their chances and sees Pardew under a bit of pressure. Plenty of attacking firepower with the likes of Luke Varney and Andy Gray but the Addicks tend to be very inconsistent. Chinese midfielder Zheng Zhi was a star for them and if they are not pushing the top spots come January he could off – as could Pardew.
