Best League Win: 8-0 v Sunderland 25/09/1982 Division 1

Last meeting: Watford 1, Norwich City 1 (March 4, 2008): The old heads of Norwich City combined to earn the Canaries a thoroughly deserved point at promotion-chasing Watford. City were 10 minutes from their third defeat in the last four games – until Jamie Cureton popped up with a spectacular equaliser right in front of the visiting fans. It was certainly no less than City, who had trailed from the 11th minute when one-time Canaries triallist Danny Shittu headed in a corner, deserved against the Championship's third-placed team. Full Match Report

Last Norwich away win: 24/04/2004 Watford 1 (Blizzard), Norwich City 2 (Francis, McKenzie)

Chances: A major disappointment last season after dramatically falling away from the top of the table to scrape into the play-offs only to be thrashed 6-1 on aggregate by Hull City. Watford’s rough and tumble, up-and-at-‘em tactics seemed to be their downfall as they were often played off the pitch when their physicality failed to impose itself on their opponents. Nonetheless, the Hornets still have some talented players at their disposal, including top scorer Darius Henderson and Jobi McAnuff. Star of the show this season could by young midfielder John-Joe O’Toole.
