Established himself as the second choice keeper behind Robert
Green after his arrival from Nottingham Forest, but the England
player’s form and fitness limited him to just one first
team appearance – as a second half substitute in the
Canaries’ 4-0 defeat at Charlton after Green suffered
an injury. Will be looking to put pressure on Green for the
No1 shirt.
Has been used to regular first team football
throughout his career at Mansfield, Notts County and Nottingham
Forest, so it must have come as a shock to the system to only
get 30 minutes' action this season. A reassuring presence
on the bench - but a player of Ward's experience will surely
want to be more that that.
Verdict: Should finally get a chance to prove
himself if Green moves on. If the England man stays put then
his patience will be tested to the limit.
