Was a regular feature in the side at the start of the season,
scoring at Old Trafford, but as the season wore on he drifted
out of the first team picture.
A great little player when he is at the top of his game, McVeigh
never really reached any great heights as City returned to
the Premiership. He got a few games early on, and scored a
memorable goal at Old Trafford, but he never started a game
after the 3-0 defeat at Liverpool on September 25. That tells
you all you need to know about the Irishman's season.
Verdict: A player who
has plenty of ability, but has failed to display it on a consistent
basis for a couple of seasons now. He's still got another
year left on his contract but is unlikely to want to hang
around in reserves.
