The 32-year-old striker has the unenviable task of filling
Robert Earnshaw's boots although last season's Championship
top scorer will not shy away from the task. Cureton is delighted
at coming back to where he started his career and City fans
will be hoping his goals can fire them on to a promotion challenge.
Golden Boot winner last season with 23 Championship goals
for Colchester. Asked for a transfer as he watched established
players leave Layer Road – and when Robert Earnshaw
left Norwich he was snapped up in an instant by Grant. Cureton
began his career at Norwich, but he never managed to score
goals in the first team. However, he’s now a proven
striker.
