Much to gain. Little to lose.

Who? Glenn.

It'll certainly be his team this season .............. but from List Q.

And if he builds a successful team from List Q we'll be saying sad farewells soon enough unless Cullum comes in and enables him to take things to the next level.

On the other hand...........

How can you honestly say Wes Hoolahan is from list Q.  The boy was one of the outstanding performers in the championship last season, certainly ran rings around our lot!!.  And I would hazard a guess that like me you know very little if anything about Sammy Clingan.

The only thing I agree with you about is how do we go about taking the step to the next level.  Money talks these days and we simply dont have enough.....A decent cup run might help though, been a long time since we have had one of them.

Re: Much to gain. Little to lose.

Ignoring the fact that this post does not make any sense you can classify most professional footballers in one of the following

A - World class - would walk into one of the major clubs and command a starting place every week
B - Prem Class - would walk into one of the other premiership clubs and command a starting place every week
C - Journeyman Prem - goes from prem club to prem club but not being a first pick on the team sheet.  Would walk into a championship side though
D - Championship Class - one of the main players at a championship club who may play for relegation fodder prem teams.
E - Journeyman Championship - one of the players around a champ team who is not necessarily fist pick and would not be likely to play in the prem
F - League 1 Class - not capable of playing in the championship.
etc...

Now, with that said we have had a history in recent years of buying players from the E list and wondering why we are not doing well.  We now have players from the C and D list coming in some of the with the potential to be Bs.

That may be your belief, but in my opinion Roeder has done a good job so far, bringing in the players that he has. These players certainly aren't from List Q, the likes of Stefanovic and Omosuzi don't/didn't play at a Premiership side for no reason (Fulham aren't exactly newbies to the Premiership now either). Hoolahan had a good season by reports that I have heard, and if Roeder can get the creative talent out of Lupoli he could take the Championship by storm, feeding other players in and general link up play with the other forward, with that extra bit of quality. One musn't forget Clingan either, Worthy rates him (not sure if that means anything but I thought I'd post it anyway) and he was liked and wanted at Nottingham Forest. We all know that Bertrand has that bit of quality that can make him stand out brightly on his day, and he was very composed and good on the ball all of last season when we had him (apart from Sheffield Wednesday away). I know that he had more protection last season from the midfield having 3 midfielders and just one winger so we are really yet to see his true defensive ability, but he struck me as a class act when I saw him play at home to Bury when he made his Norwich debut, and he isn't on Chelsea's books for nothing.

Come on then Bly, tell us all we need to know about Sammy Clingan, what can we expect from the lad.  And while you are at it can you fill us in with some info regarding Omozusi, Lupoli and Bell.  Seeing as you are the oracle of football and know all, enlighten us thickos a bit.

Not only are the incoming players "ordinary" (despite the usual dreamers' fanfare)....Roeder will not be able to motivate them beyond the early stages of the season and into where it starts to hurt......

Far from being the best thing since sliced bread (according to the usual suspects)...he is dull and lacking in the charisma required to bring the best out of limited ability. For that you need a Harry Redknapp....and Roeder will never be a Harry as long as he has a hole in his arse.....
