A couple of corrections. I mispelt Led Zeppelin - I always have had difficulty with the correct placement of double letters in words, and I should have typed Workingman's Dead instead of what I did. Also the V in van in the great German composer's name should be lower case. There, I think that's enough corrections for one day.
Evil Monkey wrote:War Stories by Unkle is an inspired choice, but I'm afraid Melting Pot by Charlatans counts as a compilation, really... I'd happily accept Up To Our Hips though...
Fair enough, i will change the Charlatans album as you appreciate the choice of Unkle. Am off to London in July to see them at Somerset House on the Strand - should be a good night!
Just 10???!? Not sure I can do that but here goes, and in no particular order
REM Life Rich Pageant (probably or maybe Document)
The Stone Roses The Stone Roses
Lou Reed Transformer
Depeche Mode Speak & Spell (or Black celebration)
New Order Power Corruption & Lies
The Undertones The Undertones
The Specials The Specials
The White Stripes Elephant
The House of Love The House Of Love
Talking Heads Stop Making Sense
and that is ignoring my enduring love of Porcupine & Ocean Rain, and the albums which pop to mind of Flood, Different Class, Definitely Maybe, Franz Ferdinand, Candy Apple Grey, Bat out of Hell , Lovesexy, Kinks Kontroversy, 3 feet high and rising, Parrallel Lines (first album purchase :-) ), 3 gold bars, most stuff by either David Byrne or Terry Hall, London 0 Hull 4, one step beyond, Nowhere, Sex Packets or an end has a start.... which has to be the start of the end of my rantings...
