Late Norwich bid to snatch Thompson

Stockport County and Norwich City were locked in a tug-of-war over Linfield striker Peter Thompson last night.
The Canaries made contact with the Blues yesterday before tabling an improved bid for the 24-year-old.

Scottish Premier League club Kilmarnock were first to make their move – twice having package deals in the region of £150,000 turned down.

Then came the approach by Stockport on Monday with an offer of £100,000 plus bonuses for the prized frontman.

But now Championship outfit Norwich are poised to pounce, and a deal could be rubber stamped in the next 24 hours.

Looks a prospect from stats and his goals on Youtube, its heard to say 4 sure but reckon he would b worth a gamble.

Realistically he's the sort of player we can attract (Hopefully, unless Celtic nip in with a last min bid!!!) and could be a handful at this level.

it will certainly say something about the current state of affairs at CR if we can't compete with Stockport County for his signature.
