This may sound petty to some, and a bit childish, but yesterday at work I was intentionally kicked by a fellow colleague who was wearing specialist footwear (a steel toe cap) in the leg during a disagreement, a leg in which I have had problems with previously with football injuries and slips and falls. I'm back on the crutches for only a couple of days to ease the pressure on the leg itself, and it turns out that they guy who did it has been sacked for "assault in the workplace" today. As much as I know he was in the wrong, I feel like sh*te, I feel as if it's my fault, I have no idea why. It was a disagreement that caused him to kick out at me in front of customers and staff, I feel he deserved a punishment as such but not to lose his job.
I'm unsure as to why I'm posting this on here, I consider many on here friends and people who at times can speak sense (and a lot of crap!), I was just wondering if anyone had an opinion as to whether something like that warrants the sack or if anyone has been through similar circumstances.
Cheers all,
