Who is the worst senior player currently in the Norwich City Squad? Ok pretty self explanatory, who do YOU think is the 'senior' player least deserving of their Norwich Shirt? I'm not including new signings as we cannot judge yet and I am including Martin. This is not a witch hunt, purely to see the actualy thoughts of the Norwich faithful. Gary Doherty Jason Shackell Matty Pattison Simon Lappin Mark Fotheringham Jamie Cureton Lee Croft Jon Otsemobor Darel Russel Adam Drury David Marshall Chris Martin Luke Chadwick
Sounds very much along the lines of a witch hunt to me and if I was one of the senior players who (possibly) read this forum then I'd be pretty p*ssed off. It's all very well being at the bottom of the pile of votes for the player of the season, at least you may have got a few votes from your own particular fans, but being voted "the worst" and undeserving of wearing the shirt?? Hardly makes you want to go out and play with your head held high does it. Every player who pulls on that yellow shirt on a Saturday does so because the manager thinks he deserves it, and therefore he deserves our support. Frankly, at this stage of the season in particular, starting a poll to see who is our WORST player hardly smacks of SUPPORTING your team does it??

Wouldn't it be easier and quicker to use Spell Check than to repeatedly type it out? If not, you spelled the firsta one right but need to change the first 'i' to and 'a' in the 2nd.

But saying that in terms of professionalism (spell check) i would say the worst are Martin and Pattison. In terms of talent, it's a tough call but i would say Lappin. Oh well i contridicted myself (spell check again!)
Lol...since when did the dictionary spell contradicted with an i.......
It seems that our "worst player" is also the second best according to last seasons' Opta ratings. Go figure.
SO you dont even include all the senior players?
Overall and based on last year I would say that Pattison is inconsistent, lappin OK in midfield but not full back, but the worst pair were , in reverse order, Shacks and the winner Martin.
Including other players the likes of Rusty and Cureton were extremely inconsistent and at their worst were far more of an embarrasment to the yellow short than the dubious and unmeritted winner of this witchhunt
What on earth is this "poll" pretending to demonstrate?. Doherty may not be our best footballer but he had some very good games last season. Ask Neil Adams. Ask Glenn Roeder (who has just given him a new contract). Unless something clever happens in the transfer market soon, we will need him and we will need him motivated.
As for Lappin - this has been mentioned many times and by others besides me - he played about half the games that Croft did - and yet, playing as a full back, he scored one more goal than Croft. That he played mainly as a full back - which he has never claimed to be - is to his greater credit. Again, not our best footballer but no more deserving than any other player to be part oif this shoddy and misjudged "poll".
All players can have a bad game and by all means comment if they do. Expressing an individual point of view about a player is one thing but this 'poll' can only be counterproductive. Our squad is the responsibilty of the manager - not the result of some "X Factor" type cull. .

Hardly fair is it?
