Nuneaton's first game of the 2000/01 Conference season was Doncaster away. Their first game of 2008/09 season could be Glapwell Town or Soham, while Doncaster look forward to games v Birmingham, Wolves and Norwich in the Championship following their convincing display against Leeds at Wembley. This shows what you can achieve if you invest and run your club properly, and what can happen when you don't!

Cambridge City have failed in their appeal to the Football Association against the club's enforced relegation from Blue Square South.
City will compete in the BGB Southern Premier Division next season after their Milton Road home failed to earn the FA's Ground Grading Category B. be ratified at the Conference's Annual General Meeting on 7 June. City's Milton Road ground fell short of the 'Category B' rating required of all Blue Square sides owing to a lack of terracing behind both goals and inadequate turnstile facilities. Clubs throughout the non-league pyramid were handed a deadline of 31 March to get their facilities up to scratch.
Earlier, this month the FA's Leagues Committee had decided to relocate Worcester City and Redditch United to Blue Square South. The switch was made following the relegation of four northern clubs from the Blue Square Premier - although the decision is subject to change. However, no decision has yet been made over what effect the relegation of Boston and/or Nuneaton would have on the divisions. As for Southern Premier Division champions King's Lynn their fate will be ratified at the Conference's Annual General Meeting on 7 June.
Halifax Town, who were in Blue Square Premier last season, are on the brink of liquidation, and have not been placed in the first four levels of the "Pyramid" by the FA - thus reprieving four teams from relegation - Altrincham (Blue Square Premier), Hucknall Town (Blue Square North), Boreham Wood (Ryman Premier Division) and Slough Town (BGB Southern League Division One South & West).

It seems King's Lynn have been unsuccessful in their written request to the F.A asking to be switched to the BS South. After the Conference AGM was held on Saturday the following decisions were taken: Hucknall Town and Vauxhall Motors will remain in the Northern section due to Boston and Nuneaton's failings, whilst Dorchester Town regain South membership at the expense of Cambridge City.
Redditch United, who had been earmarked for a stint in the Blue Square South (after four Northern clubs were demoted from the BSP) have now been re-instated in the North.
Worcester, another side moved from North to South, will remain in the South division.
This whole process has been a drawn out-affair and I'm sure we haven't heard the last of it yet! This is the revised line-up for both north and south divisions respectively.
Blue Square North:
AFC Telford United
Alfreton Town
Blyth Spartans
Burscough
Droylsden
Farsley Celtic
Fleetwood Town
Gainsborough Trinity
Gateshead
Harrogate Town
Hinckley United
Hucknall Town (reprieved)
Hyde United
King's Lynn
Redditch United
Solihull Moors
Southport
Stafford Rangers
Stalybridge Celtic
Tamworth
Workington Town
Vauxhall Motors (reprieved)
Blue Square South:
AFC Wimbledon
Basingstoke Town
Bath City
Bishops Stortford
Bognor Regis Town
Braintree Town
Bromley
Chelmsford City
Dorchester Town (reprieved)
Eastleigh
Fisher Athletic
Hampton & Richmond Borough
Havant & Waterlooville
Hayes & Yeading United
Maidenhead United
Newport County
St. Albans City
Team Bath
Thurrock
Welling United
Weston-Super-Mare
Worcester City

Simon Weaver has revealed his decision to quit Blue Square North club Boston United for King's Lynn was down to money.
Weaver's six-month spell as a United player came to an end when the former Lincoln defender failed to agree a new contract with the club and opted to sign for King's Lynn.
United boss Tommy Taylor was keen to hold onto the 30-year-old defender but was restricted on the offer he could make thanks to a cut in the wages at the club.
Weaver travelling from his North Yorkshire home felt that the commute required to York Street was too much on the wages offered and will instead play for the Linnets whilst also working outside the game.
"I was hoping to stay, but was asked to take a major drop in wages," Weaver told the Sports Echo.
"I have to travel from Wetherby and on the money I was offered, I don't think I could have done it.
"I would have been happy to accept a drop in wages, but not what I was being offered."
Weaver leaves with no bad feelings towards the club and was thankful for the support handed to him by the Pilgrims faithful.
"It's disappointing, but there are no hard feelings from me," he added.
"Tommy Taylor is an honest guy and I'm sure he did what he could.
"I'm going to miss the club because they have a great set of fans. They give you great support and they are big crowds for that level."

It looks like both Danny Bloomfield and Matt Nolan will be on there way out.
Webb said yesterday: "I have given Danny until the end of Friday to make a final decision as it isn't good for the player or the club if it rumbles on. "I understand where Danny is coming from and he has made his feelings clear, but I think his calculations of the extra travelling involved are a little wayward."
Nolan is holding out for improved terms however his demands are unlikely to be met by the board.
"Matty is already one of the better-paid players at the club but he is holding out for better terms. "There just isn't the finances to give him what he wants so it's now down to him."
If Bloomfield and Nolan (two of Lynn's most southerly-based players) both leave, a new striker will be at the top of Webb's wanted list. On Leo Fortune-West, Webb set the record straight: "I was interested in Leo just after our FA Trophy run but haven't made any enquiries since then." "He's still a fit lad and will probably cause one or teams problems at this level, but he is 37 and we need experience and leadership in other areas of the pitch."
Webb added: "There's still some time before the start of pre-season and I want players here who want to play for the good of the club."
Yesterday Lynn's local rivals Boston Utd were demoted from the Conference North to the UniBond Premier after losing their appeal, which raises the possibility of Lynn landing another Pilgrims player. There was talk about another defender joining the club.

I have just seen on the Pinkun that Bloomfield will be staying on, that will be good for Lynn, hopefully they can do as well in the next league, and join Norwich in the Premiership in a few seasons.
