Unkle - Never, Never, Land

oh my, WHAT an album!

It certainly is, the new one is very good also although I never really got in the Pysence Fiction.

yeah, my brother is a massive UNKLE fan, he was telling me that the new album are the songs that didnt quite make it on to war stories. Chemical with lyrics is class to, but i cant figure out who is singing on it, is it josh homme again?

By Chemical do you mean Chemistry or is it a totally different song?? Though I think War Stories is an impressive album I also believe it to be a little overated. The definite high point of the album has to 'Persons and Machinery (feat Autolux)' but there are way too many tuneless inclusions for it to be a true classic.

Re: Pinkun Top 10 Albums of All Time
Crikey, this has dropped down somewhat! I know I was supposed to tot it all up ages ago, but my laptop got nicked and the list I was making along with it... Until I get a replacement (don't get me started about NU!) I won't have time to do it all, so please bear with me! Hopefully I'll get it before term starts back so I can spend the hour or two needed to release the results!

In the meantime, if people wish to add to it, please feel free!

Re: Pinkun Top 10 Albums of All Time

1, Nick Drake-  Five Leaves Left

2, Cocteau Twins-  Tiny Dynamine/Echoes in a Shallow Bay

3, The Cure-  Disintegration

4, Sigur Ros-  Takk

5, Cocteau Twins-  Bluebell Knoll

6, Nick Cave-  And no More Shall we Part

7, Pixies-  Dolittle

8, Bert Jansch-  Black Swan

9, Niel Young-  After the Goldrush

10, The Cure-  Pornography

Difficult as it alot of it depends on mood- the above is definately an "autumnal" selection.....

How about a top 10 fave songs thread?  That would be even more difficult......

Agreed Marty, it was either them or Radiohead for me... the biggest joke was the Last of the Shadow Puppets album being on there - they're quite a boring duo really and are only really known because of the Arctic Monkeys chappy... pleasant enough but nowhere near "groundbreaking" or "influential" which is what the Mercury prize should be, for me anyway....

Lappin, the Wombats album is called A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation... incidentally, I was an extra on the video for Kill the Director, I've never seen a high quality version though so haven't been able to spot myself milling about in the background.  I'm in there somewhere, though!Smile [:)]
