Crikey, this has dropped down somewhat! I know I was supposed to tot it
all up ages ago, but my laptop got nicked and the list I was making
along with it... Until I get a replacement (don't get me started about
NU!) I won't have time to do it all, so please bear with me! Hopefully
I'll get it before term starts back so I can spend the hour or two
needed to release the results!
In the meantime, if people wish to add to it, please feel free!
We've got everything Down to a science, so I guess we know everything?

Anne Briggs - Anne Briggs
Marvin Gaye - Wuss Gewin Orn
The Stooges - The Stooges
Pearls Before Swine - Balaklava
Loop - Fade Out
Jefferson Airplane - After Bathing at Baxters/Surrealistic Pillow (can't decide)
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland/Are you Experienced (...same, it's a difficult choice)
Burning Spear - Marcus Garvey
Joni Mitchell - Blue/Ladies of the Canyon (very indecisive tonight)
Love - Forever changes
wanna squeeze Alice Coltrane and her Hubby's My Favourite things in there but just no room in the 10
today at least
Oh, and the Harvey Averne Barrio Band album is pretty fantastic too,
Oh well.

1, Nick Drake- Five Leaves Left
2, Cocteau Twins- Tiny Dynamine/Echoes in a Shallow Bay
3, The Cure- Disintegration
4, Sigur Ros- Takk
5, Cocteau Twins- Bluebell Knoll
6, Nick Cave- And no More Shall we Part
7, Pixies- Dolittle
8, Bert Jansch- Black Swan
9, Niel Young- After the Goldrush
10, The Cure- Pornography
Difficult as it alot of it depends on mood- the above is definately an "autumnal" selection.....
How about a top 10 fave songs thread? That would be even more difficult......

great to see Elbow win the Mercury prize, a great album, not sure if it made my list but certainly should do. Can't wait to see them next month.

Agreed Marty, it was either them or Radiohead for me... the biggest
joke was the Last of the Shadow Puppets album being on there - they're
quite a boring duo really and are only really known because of the
Arctic Monkeys chappy... pleasant enough but nowhere near
"groundbreaking" or "influential" which is what the Mercury prize
should be, for me anyway....
Lappin, the Wombats album is called A Guide to Love, Loss and
Desperation... incidentally, I was an extra on the video for Kill the
Director, I've never seen a high quality version though so haven't been
able to spot myself milling about in the background. I'm in there
somewhere, though!
We've got everything Down to a science, so I guess we know everything?
