matty pattison?

whats the crack with pattison then? have gunn and him made up? i personally think he could be a real threat in league one and showed around xmas time last season some good form.

not heard much on him lately, every one seemed to think he would be shown the door in the summer but i hope things are sorted and he stays. Thoughts...........?

bryan gunn............ just when things couldnt get worse. league one HELLO

Can anyone confirm if Matty Pattison has turned up for pre season training?

He was in some of the photos in the slideshow from Day 1 of training the other day on here

Re: matty pattison?
Matty Patty would suit third division football & if he kisses and makes up with Gunny & we can afford to keep him he could be  a winner for us from August.

I hope they can patch things up (if he deserves the 2nd/3rd chance) because he could be a useful player at this level for us.

I think he would do well in this league, I thought at times he done well, just lacked something sometimes. He should be kept thou.

Re: matty pattison?
where would you play him?

Through the middle? not likely.

On the left? Poss if hoolahan plays off a front man... but he's woeful at tracking back...

Right mid? a possibility.

I would sell him if i was Gunn.

If neilson is like a kightly and we sign him and if mcveigh comes in as back up with korey smith there not to mention otsemobor, i think we have good cover for the right hand side.

Re: matty pattison?
I would have him as one of the above, he would be good cover for all for the midfield. We sell him, we would be lucky to get 150k, ok I imagine he would be on Champ wages.

Re: matty pattison?
yes it is the wages i think are a pprob as well... the lad o'brien who swindon just signed from hibs would have been a great signing... think o'brien is his name... on a free wilson has done well.

think he played in the same newcastle team as patty.

patty is a okay player, but league one is not as bad as everyone thinks, his wages would be better put towards a new player... the less players we have from the roeder regime the better... relegation needs to be a very distant memory...

we need new players in with that hunger to play in the champ... players who maybe haven't had a chance at that level and want to get there with norwich....

players with that drive can make up for only having average ability... does matty have that drive? i don't think so... (insert drive joke here!)

Re: matty pattison?
Thing is, he was in decent form, then a little niggle kept him out of a couple/few games, and didnt get back into the team, then when you know who left, and he was upset, Gunn never gave him the chance, when he was playing last season he was doing well, so we might as well use him, he can be quite good.

Is that the O'Brien who came here a few years back with Newcastle in a pre season friendly and took us apart?

Good call GP. If he was properly motivated, he'd be a match winner next season.
