Wroxham begin a new era with a home game against FC Clacton as they struggle to adjust to life back in the Premier Division.

The Yachtsmen are 11th in the table and, after four defeats in a row, parted company with joint managers Ross Potter and Tom Parke earlier this week, with former Lowestoft players Jamie Godbold and assistant Andy Reynolds taking over.

While the young squad at Wroxham struggled to make an impression, it’s youth that is working well at Great Yarmouth Town, with the Bloaters hoping to make it five games unbeaten when they entertain Godmanchester Rovers.

Yarmouth – whose starting line-up included 17-year-olds Josh Ford, Ray Urry and Kieran Hagan – came away from high-flying Ely with a well-earned point last week and will need to repeat the trick against a side sitting fifth in the table.

Neighbours Gorleston will be looking to push further into mid-table with two home matches in the space of four days.

Boosted by a 2-0 win at FC Clacton last weekend, the Greens entertain Ely City before facing Fakenham on Tuesday.

Only goal difference stands between Thetford and Kirkley & Pakefield – Thetford have a tough game ahead when they travel to leaders Felixstowe & Walton United, while the Royals are at Haverhill Borough.

Fakenham Town have a trip to Stowmarket Town, with some of the pressure off new boss Andy Cunningham after getting their first win under his stewardship – 2-1 at Haverhill Rovers.

The victory lifted Fakenham four points clear of second from bottom Ipswich Wanderers with four games in hand ahead of a testing trip to third-placed Stowmarket.

“I think the pressure is off us, all the expectation will be on them,” he said.

“That isn’t to say we are going to Stowmarket thinking we won’t get anything out of the game; we are not. We are going there with the pressure on them to deliver, because of the excellent season they are having and much higher position, but we are going there with a game plan to get something out of the game.”
