Scott Woodcock (two), David Harwood, Steven Jordan, Paul Bradshaw and Dale Wilton scored for the Crabs, with Luke Rackham replying for the visitors.

Cromer are four points clear of Blofield United, who won 3-1 at Wroxham Reserves, courtesy of goals from Duncan Whitlam, Chris Holmes and Joseph Manning. Samuel Holt scored for the hosts.

Third-placed Mattishall were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Beccles Town, for whom Alan Remblance scored twice, but it’s Acle who are looking dangerous. They sit in fourth place but have games in hands – including two on the leaders, with eight points to make up.

If they ever needed to declare their intent then they did it on Saturday, thrashing bottom-of-the-table Wells Town 8-1. There was a hat-trick for Adam Hipperson, with the others goals shared equally between Phillip Palmer, Nathan Thompson, Daniel Foreman, and Ross Goodwin. Josh Barzey scored for Wells.

Spixworth were 2-0 winners at Sheringham, with Chris O’Brien and Roy Bevis on target, while Ryan Haynes’ goal was enough to earn Hempnall a win at St Andrews.

Matthew Racher scored the only goal of the game as Norwich St Johns beat visiting Loddon United 1-0.

Division One leaders Stalham won 5-2 at Watton, Lawrence Cheese bagging a hat-trick.
