Dersingham see daylight in Anglian Combination Division One

The three main Sterry Cup contenders all won on Saturday, Premier Division leaders Cromer taking pride of place with a 5-1 thrashing of Wroxham Reserves, courtesy of goals from Antoni Fawkes (two), Paul Bradshaw, Dale Wilton and Scott Woodcock.

Blofield remain a point adrift after Karl Mills, Liam Barnes and Dan Wynne scored in the 3-1 home win over North Walsham. Acle are third, two points behind the Crabs with two games in hand, having also won 3-1 against Wymondham Town – a brace from Simeon Randell being backed by a goal from Peter Nobbs. Elsewhere there were away wins for St Andrews (2-1 at Mattishall), Beccles (2-0 at St Johns) and Loddon (1-0 at Wells) while Hempnall drew 2-2 with Sprixworth.

Dersingham opened a three point lead at the top of Division One after a hat-trick from Chris Jenkins gave them a 3-1 win at Horsford while rivals Stalham crashed 3-0 at home to Caister (Kieran Hack, Gary Fitzgerland and an own goal).
