Congratulations to Runton from the NPSS NEN League as they are confirmed Slater & Frith Division One Champions, following back to back fixtures against Aylsham ‘A’, a 2-2 draw in mid-week and then a 5-2 last Saturday at Aylsham.
Two finals were concluded in the NPSS NEN League when in the Smallburgh Crown Division One League Cup current holders East Ruston secured a return trip to Greens Road North Walsham on May 17 following their home success over Runton.
Haisboro Athletic, thanks to a Tom Crabb hat-trick, became the first side this season to take any points off runaway Slater & Frith Division One leaders Runton.
The finalists for this seasons Nicholson’s of Stalham Benevolent Cup were decided at the weekend in the NPSS NEN League, when holders Gimingham were comprehensively beaten 7-0 when visiting Runton.
It was League Cup day in the NPSS NEN League, with the Smallburgh Crown Division One League Cup holders, East Ruston, travelling to Horning and thanks to goals in each half from Lee Woodhouse and Mark Burton seeing them through to a semi-final tie against Runton, who saw off visitors North Walsham ‘A’.
