Wisbech Town delivered a clear signal of championship intent with a 3-0 win at leaders Mildenhall.

Steve Appleby’s second-placed Fenmen are now just three points behind the Premier pacesetters with a game in hand and a superior goal difference after goals from Chris Bacon, Scott Johnson and Matt Lunn put them in the driving seat.

Goals from Kyle Baker and Ross King earned Kirkley & Pakefield a share at home to Godmanchester while Felixstowe won a high-scoring basement battle at Wivenhoe 6-3. Third-placed Brantham slumped to a surprise 4-0 defeat at Woodbridge while rock-bottom FC Clacton enjoyed only their second win of the campaign 3-0 at ailing CRC. Walsham le-Willows go fourth after a 4-2 home win over Hadleigh.

In Division One fifth-placed Fakenham’s 4-0 away win inflicted more misery on bottom-of-the-table Cornard while in-form high-flyers Swaffham beat Team Bury 4-1.
