  • My my, the Lambert discussion has moved on. Yes, frankly anyone who can detach their emotions so much from the job they do, really scares me. I couldn't do a job I didn't have some sort of feelings about. Interesting that Lambo learned his trade in Germany. Home of the expression " I vos only obeying orders". Perhaps I'm out of line comparing Herr Lambert with those "jolly japesters" from the Third Reich, but people who can be that cold are kind of frightening. You can immediately see the difference in the friendly + altogether more human approach of "Hoots". I really, really hope Chris Hughton does well. And even if he doesn't, @ least our post-match interviews will be a bit longer + won't include 47 repititions of the word "outstanding" !

He did the same to Colchester U when he came to us. I've even seen some conciliatory messages on boards from Colchester U fans now he's gone !

It really looks like we are in steadier hands now. Meanwhile, I can't help peeking at what is being done at Villa and there is no doubt that the cult of personality is being built very quickly and in a slightly more polished way than we are used to at Carra Rud. I think that Lambo, Faulkner and Lerner all deserve each other.

Mr Lerner may have more money than NCFC but he is a long way off the oligarchs and oily-sharks that play at the top of the division. However, it amazes me that the odious Glazer's can keep milking Man Utd. They will kill it, just before Lambo steps in.

They'll do everything they can to get managers out of contracts etc. McNasty will be seen as a boss=enemy for the purposes of this dispute. I'll love it if there is a legal technicality tho. We also want compo for Culverhouse et al. I'm starting to take a strong dislike to Lambert now.

I do wonder though if PL had already made the decision to go at the end of this season just finished regardless. Unlike so many other Norwich teams, you felt that in most games (excluding Sunderland, Leicester, etc.) it was never over and there was always a drive to win. Last Summer, Promotion to the Premiership was won , and he came to the idea that he should have been offered a better deal than he received. There was a falling out with the board. His big sulk began.and because he wasn't able to bring it to the notice of others away from the club, and his inability to speak plainly to us down to earth Norfok men and women, he hid behind the smokescreen he was able to create. No “Big” club had head hunted him, so someone on his behalf put the word around that he would be available at the end of the season just gone.. City did extremely well up to the end of January and on paper this man was heaven sent. It May have been decided by AV at this time that their manager was not up to expectations, and a replacement had to be found. PL was a decent choice, and was told so. Our board were not too concerned, and made things easy for him to depart. Culverhouse had probably been running the show any way... McN eyed the field, and soon came to realise that CH would be his first choice if available. ..So maybe, as PL began to jump, he received a helping kick up the pants...Now from FANTASY land , back to the real world.
