Anthony Pilkington missed City’s win over Wolves with the injury he sustained late in the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.
Seven-goal Pilkington trained last week but was not considered fit enough to play. City will monitor his progress before the trip to Fulham next Saturday.
“Pilks had a hamstring strain from the Newcastle game. He missed this one and I’ll see how he feels next week,” said manager Paul Lambert.
Full-back Adam Drury was rested – “He has played a lot of games” – and Simon Lappin given his second Premier League start, though he was replaced by Kyle Naughton at half-time.
“Simon did really fine for his first game since QPR,” said Lambert.

He looks hacked off at missing out. Is that Tierney in the front row, or a cue ball form a missed place snooker the other night ...

Am I just hallucinating, or does Dani Ayala look like a young Duke of Edinburgh in that picture?
