Robert Snodgrass was left out of Leeds' opening pre-season game at Farsley on Friday.

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is prepared to play the long game in pursuit of Leeds’ captain Robert Snodgrass and the rest of his transfer targets.
Hughton confirmed after the Canaries 3-2 opening pre-season friendly defeat to Hertha Berlin in Austria that there had no been further developments in the on-going bid to recruit Snodgrass.
Leeds confirmed last week they had rejected an initial Norwich offer for the Scotland international, who is about to enter the final year of his current contract and has yet to sign a new Elland Road deal.
Snodgrass was left out of Leeds opening pre-season game at Farsley on Friday manager Neil Warnock saying he had a tight hamstring. The midfielder was scheduled to travel to Cornwall yesterday with the rest of the squad for a mini west country tour, but Hughton predicts a busy end to the summer.
As far as I know there havent been any developments. I can only leave that to the powers that be, said Hughton. Everybody now is aware that we have made a bid for him. Leeds have come out with that with regards to their thoughts and feelings on the matter but, as I say, I can only leave that to the important people at the club.
With any players you identify and wish to bring to the club you would rather do it sooner than later. In most occasions that is not the case particularly in this league and hence if you look at the amount of business the Premier League clubs have done up until now it is not massive and there is no doubt over the next few weeks and certainly the last couple of weeks of the window possibly the bulk of business will be done.

Emile fits the 1p5wich profile perfectly, zebbee! If person or persons unknown thought Holty was too old, where does that leave Heskey?

Just been looking at the odds for likely upcoming transfers. Cannot find odds for Snodgrass but some others were very interesting. Rhodes is 11 to 1 to join us with Fulham favourites at 8 to 11. We are 4 to 1 for Matthew Etherington with West Ham evens. We're 14s for Wilfried Zaha (Soton at 2 to 1) and 20 to 1 for Heskey (hope not!) with 1p5wich 7 to 4 favourites (hope so!)

"Leeds United have agreed a fee for SK Brann midfielder Rodolph Austin, according to the Norwegian club." Is this significant !!

It would be a nice signing and it would complete the Leeds trio;) but as others have mentioned, strengthening the defence would take priority. I think the manager is well aware of this and will get it sorted in the coming weeks.

I very rarely post, but when i do it always comes through, there obviously is an issue for some. however when there is a new artical i like to read the comment and views, when there is a large number of posts i lok forward to the read, but when its full of moans about Archant and the Word Ethered over and over again not about the subject matter then is quite dissapointing

How do things ever improve if no-one complains? No, please tell me cos it's a serious question. More power to Brewer's keyboard say I. Some of you would just sit there in a restaurant + shovel any old rancid cack down your throats you were served, cos you don't like making a fuss. The ethering process is ridiculous. If you don't like Brewer's postings then here's some revolutionary advice ...DON'T READ THEM !......just skip + go to the next one. Simples !

Hang on you lot. Is MB some kind of protected species? I agree that his comments are usually witty and relevant, but we're all allowed to express our views (free speech indeed kevin!!) and I agree with Trevor and Stephen. This site is becoming more of an Archant bashing exercise rather than a forum for constructive comments about NCFC. Canary Girl, I for one am a Canary supporter for nearly 50 years and not a troll, even if I don't go along with the general view. OTBC

I swear that this site is getting worse with its "ethering" rather than better!! It it so frustrating when you just don't know what will get posted. Brew, don't let anyone stop you hounding Archant. It really is time they got this dinosaur into the 21st century. If the trolls don't like it then they can go elsewhere its as simple as that. OTBC

If there wasn't a problem in the first place then people like MB and myself wouldn't be complaining! I put up with enough things in life that annoys me, I am not extending it to this site too! Anyways, I would take MB's comments about ethering ANY DAY over the comments we get on here from rival supporters! Twist your nipples back in the lot of you!

I second that Trevor. MB - do you really need to inform the rest of us EVERY time you post a comment that doesn't get through, very tedious and tiresome. Glad I'm not the only one who's fed up of reading MB's non-football-related comments

I am with you, MB. None of us have issues with the ethering if the comments are out of order but innocuous and constructive ones were frequently getting binned. I think there has been an improvement of late so let's hope our complaints have registered with those that monitor.

Colin may be awaiting a bid from others, possibly, Aston Villa under "neverknowingly undersold" Ken Bates,LUFC Chairman's instruction. Neither party are inexperienced in the art of making a bob or two out of professional football.
