  • Hope it's true. I'm with you on little Benno, Dingo. He is a good player and rarely lets you down.

  • It's the Mail lead story. They have proper journalists so I believe Nathan is coming here. If anyone wishes to read it, there's also an article on Villa's new keeper, Jed Steer. A good signing but I hope we're not subsequently getting rid of little Benno, a player I like.

  • Hey, we've all forgotten S, SS, SSS, oh I remember. Surman. Looks like Surplus to requirement now.

  • Pilks, Snodgrass, E Benno + Redmond = 4 good players competing for 2 positions. I'd be happy with that come first day of season. Need to keep hold of Pilks.

  • Agree with all of this - that`d be a good selection of "wide" midfielders. Pilks must not go! Little Benno can still do it - maybe not as a winger in the end? el dingo`s probably right - Surman (& Fox, too) - prob on way out. Who would they be used instead of? Surman for Wessi, maybe? Stretching it a bit. Whither Butterfield?

  • This looks like really good news and the competition is hotting up in the wings\midfield, there will probably be some mid-field exits coming up. There is talk about Pilks leaving, Newcastle mentioned, but I hope that he will not do so. He did not get so much action in the second half of last season but that was down to injury not de-selection.

  • An excellent start to July - if it's true. I'm going on the Birmingham Mail site to make sure.
