Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is reported to be keeping track of Slovenian striker Robert Beric, who played against his Birmingham team last year.
The Canaries boss has the option of revamping his striking options in January and is said to have been been kept up to date with Beric’s progress since he featured in the Europa League against the Blues last season.
The 21-year-old caught the eye for NK Maribor when he scored in their Europa League clash against Tottenham and has also now made the step up from under-21 level to full international football.
Beric has scored four times in 10 starts in his domestic league and has managed two in three in the Europa League this season. Various newspapers and football websites report Norwich’s interest, suggesting Aston Vill and Championship clubs Leicester City and Cardiff City are also keen on Beric with the Welsh club hoping to pair him up with his former Maribor strike partner, Etien Velikonja.

Looks like we could afford that one for far less than the going price for, say, an England squad goalie...... Agree with Canarygirl, Cinnamon could still have something to offer. Not sitting on the bench, though. Unless as an "impact" player for 20-25 min? IHWT.

Scored last night against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. This could be a good find if we do eventually go for him! City could do with a fresh face up front; although saying that, I do think Jackson is very much under-used at the moment. We should give him a good run of games and see from that! otbc

Based on YouTube, good with both feet, powerful in the air, good awareness, finds space in the 6 yard box and seems to know where the net is - definitely pretty interesting. Like a young Grant Holt on a diet.

Personally I am just encouraged by the fact that we are allegedly after a striker!

In Europe, most of the rumours about Robert Berič link him to Napoli. Apparently, his current going rate is €1.2M.

The current system is forcing an unwanted choice between Cinnamon & Wes. Holt & Jacko up-front is good but then what happens to support them, wingers?

Um, yes please! Young, presumably hungry, big (6 foot 2 inches tall) - seems to me to be the perfect long term replacement for Holt and or Morrison. Short term I think it may be better to get an upgrade on cinamon - i.e. short and pacy (but better) - but then, if CH is going to mainly stick with 4-4-1-1 or 4-2-3-1 (i.e. only one up front) then I guess better to have more in the Holt mould...
