For the last few weeks I have had nothing to say. Nothing to say that hadn’t already been said, that is. I usually try to find positives even in the worst performances, but this season I am increasingly becoming Victor Meldrew.
At times I watch Norwich and am left to wonder whether some of our players have the right attitude this year.
Waking up Thursday morning, I wasn’t quite sure whether I had dreamt that Norwich had so dramatically thrown a 3-1 lead away or it really happened.
I have never been a fan of international breaks. They often come when a team has just picked up some momentum, or players get injured whilst away playing for their country.

So, the season is over and what we all expected happened. Although we had a fantastic result against Watford, the loss on the final day was quite hard to take. Yes, we were already down, but after such a great team effort only four days previous, the performance against Everton can only be described as dismal.
When I sat down to write this piece, I knew exactly what I was going to say. However, I had got no further than the first sentence when I heard the news that David McNally had resigned.
Leaving The Emirates on Saturday I, like many who had made the trip, was feeling flat. Maybe we are all resigned to the fate that is likely to befall us, but I think it was more about the atmosphere at the ground.
Since Saturday afternoon until the moment I sat down at my computer to write this piece, I have played our match with Sunderland over and over again in my head. Where did it all go wrong?
