Dereham Town have the perfect pick-me-up following the disappointment of their FA Vase exit when they take on Wroxham at Aldiss Park tonight in the semi-finals of the Norfolk Senior Cup (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Magpies lost to a goal five minutes friom time in their FA Vase fifth round tie played on a Needham Market quagmire on Saturday.

But the prospect of a third Carrow Road final in four years should ensure they don't dwell too much on seeing their Wembley dream dashed, according to manager Matty Henman and chairman Simon Barnes.

"At the start of the season our aim was to have a good run in the Vase, to win the Senior Cup and be in the top five or six in the league," said Henman.

"We've had a good run in the Vase, have a very good chance of getting to Carrow Road and are third in the Premier Division.

"But what we have to do now is make sure we don't let Saturday become the end of the season."

Barnes believes it was a sizeable bonus to have reached the last 16 of the Vase, adding: "We're a year ahead of schedule - and we'll be coming back next year and making an effort to win it.

"We've got a plan and we've got a budget in place for next season. All the lads will be here next year with a few new additions - and we'll move on.

"If we get to Carrow Road again and finish in the top three or four it will have been a cracking season - above all the expectations we set out at the begining of the season. Now we've got a big game on Tuesday, we'll have good support there as usual and I'm sure everyone will be going all out to make sure the season doesn't peter out."

Goalkeeper John Higgs is a major doubt with a back injury. Nathan Baker, who replaced him after 25 minutes on Saturday, is again on standby.

The suspended Paul Atkins returns along with Stuart Garner.
