It was good to see on Tuesday evening two of the reserve team sqad being called up for the first team's match against Worksop Town, both forward Nick Davey and goalkeeper Ally McAnally seeing some action.

McAnally came on as substitute for the injured Jason White at half-time, while Davey also got into the game in the second half. He almost won full points for Lynn late on with a shot on the turn which only just cleared the cross bar.

It was back to Ridgeons League action the following evening with the always fiercely contested derby with Wisbech Town. Honours ended all square as an early lead for the Fenmen was cancelled out by a goal from Nelson Moreira.

Charlie Defty took the field, but this time he was in the colours of Wisbech, having decided to play for them this time, after some 197 games for Lynn Reserves. Wisbech have made a seven-day approach for forward, Rory Harper.

In a change of fixture at the weekend, due to original opponents Norwich United being involved in the FA Cup, the Reserves visited Walsham le Willows and probably wished they hadn't, as the result was a 5-1 defeat. Lynn's goal was again scored by Moreira.

In goal for the home side was former Lynn keeper Duncan McAnally, brother of Ally McAnally.

The Reserves have no midweek fixture this week, their next match being a stiff test at The Walks next Saturday, against championship chasing Needham Market Town, ko 3pm. Needham beat Wisbech 4-0 in the FACup on Saturday.
