A shed load of goals were scored last week in the NPSS NEN League with ten finding the net in the Slater & Frith Division One game at Ludham where Corpusty were the visitors, the home side finishing 6-4 winners.
Gimingham hit five past Horning with the visitors replying once. Hat-tricks from Ali Dunlop and Daniel Broom set up North Walsham ‘A’ for their 8-0 home win over Aylsham ‘A’ with further goals from Shane Kay and Neil Dyke. However at Mundesley a single goal by East Ruston’s Lou Holden was enough for them to take maximum points in a very close encounter.
Darryl Harrod with five and Nick Jones with four goals lead Wayford Nurseries Division Two leaders Cromer Youth Old Boys to a double figure rout of sporting Corpusty Reserves. Aldborough also hit double figures at home to Gimingham Reserves, but goals were few and far between at Hickling where Cawston were the visitors as the game ended 1-1
Congratulations to Trunch who have gained promotion from the Knights Trophies Division Three following their 3-0 win at Mundesley Reserves and a win from their last game will secure the championship. The only team that can catch them is Felmingham but they have to hope that Trunch drop points and they keep winning all their remaining games. On Saturday they were odd goal winners of five away at Plumstead Reserves. Southrepps who currently occupy second spot won 2-0 at East Ruston Reserves and Worstead Reserves defeated Aldborough Reserves 3-0.
Haisboro Athletic thanks to a James Underhill hat-trick and Steve Shaw strike moved into the semi-finals of the REW subsidiary Cup following the 4-0 home win over Holt ‘A’. In the Walcott Lighthouse Division Three League Cup, goals were again in abundance with Erpingham Reserves winning 6-4 at home to Holt Colts.
