Match reports from Divisions One and Two.

LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

Docklands played their first league game and felt they did enough to get at least a point from the game but it was missed chances that cost them in the end against a more clinical side in Sutton Bridge who went on to win by three goals to one with goals by Ben Partridge (2) and veteran Nicky Scott new signing Harry Bennett scoring for Docklands.

Retreat took on Terrington in a very tight game with both teams sharing the points as the game ended 1-1 and Retreat getting their first point in Division One with Liam Bowley scoring for Retreat, and K Beetlestone finding the net for Terrington in the 60th minute.

Englands Hope played away at River Lane, where the pitches are a lot better than last season, against Globe Bowls Club and it was Globe that took the lead with a goal by Aaron Proctor but Englands hit back with a goal by Matthew Dawson, then just before half-time Timmy Childs put Globe ahead. In the second half Globe Bowls Club hit three quick goals by Ashley St John, Steven Parkes, and a second by Tim Childs to be in control but again Englands Hope hit back with two more goals by John Reedshaw and John Collins and were getting on top at 5-3 and pushing forward. However, this let in Globe to score two more to run out 7-3 winners.

Splinters travelled to Southery for the first time to play White Bell in a game that both sides had the chances to win but the game ended in a 2-2 draw. White Bell took the lead with Splinters' goals coming from Substitute Timmy Kavangh and an own goal. Michael Gray and Caran Pennock-Halpin scored for White Bells in what was a really good game.

t LEAGUE DIVISION TWO

Splinters Res took on William Burt who felt that they should have got at least a point from this game after going down 3-1 after being 1-1 at half-time, but in the second half didn't take their chances and fell behind to goals from Micheal Woodhouse, Tommy Oliver and Jay Branham. William Burt's goals were scored by Ben Hunter and Nick Curtis.

Downham Old Boys got a really good win by six goals to one over Union Jack who just didn't get into the game. Downham Old Boys' goals were scored by Martin Rudd with the first two followed by a Jerry Rose penalty then one for Andy Summers followed by two more for Martin Rudd.

Fairstead Utd were up against Fowler in what was another fine game in Division Two but again it was missed chances by Fairstead Utd that led to Fowler running winners by four goals to two with Fowler's goals by Dean Gotsell (2), Sam Garner and Jarrod Evans. Fairstead replied with goals from Charlie Defty and Chris Green.

Hilgay played away at Tilney in a game that the visitors were not in at all as Tilney ran out 10-1 winners. Tilney's goals were scored by Robert Eves (4), Scott Gilham (3), Danny Kew, Bradley Fisher and James Bone.

Terrington Res were at home to Lynn Napier who played well last week against Englands Hope and played well again but came away with nothing against a Terrington Res side who have always been near the top at the end of the season and on this form could be again as they won 2-1 with goals by Jason Young on 33 minutes and Daniel Chapman on 75 minutes and for Lynn Napier it was Andrew Simons.
