Norwich United go into this afternoon’s home game against Waltham Abbey still bottom of the table after a late equaliser gave second bottom Romford a share of the spoils on Tuesday night.

Tim Henery’s spot-kick gave the Planters a first-half lead, but having held on for so long it looked like the first home win of the campaign was on the cards.

Manager Steve Eastaugh will have to try and pick up his troops, but will be without the services of youngster Adam Probert through injury. Eastaugh is hopeful of bringing in some new signings but it may be too late for this afternoon.

The Abbotts have won their last two games since a 4-3 defeat at home to Dereham Town, winning 3-1 at Aveley before a 2-1 win over Faversham Town in the FA Trophy last Saturday. Last season they recorded a double over the Planters, winning both games 1-0.

Dereham Town are also at home, with Potters Bar Town the visitors to Aldiss Park.
