Brandon are the new leaders of the Premier Division - despite dropping two home points in a top of the table thriller against Acle.

Morning leaders Sheringham lost 1-0 at home to Beccles, which meant the two teams behind them were playing for pole position.

Third-placed Acle needed to win to leapfrog into top spot - but a high-scoring encounter finished 3-3, which handed the leadership to Brandon.

Kevin Sobiechowski, Shaun Brown and Michael Kent scored for Brandon with Nathan Thompson (two) and Warren Nicholls on the mark for Acle.

It was a day when any one of four teams could have ended up as pacemakers - but Hempnall were held 0-0 at home by Loddon so remain two points adrift of Brandon.

Alan Remblance scored the goal which gave Beccles victory over the Shannocks.

Champions Wroxham Res lifted themselves away from the relegation zone with a 2-1 win at Holt, courtesy of a Paul Cook brace.

With Division One leaders St Andrews out of action Bungay Town moved to within two points of them - with a game in hand - by winning 4-2 at Wymondham with doubles from Thomas Amis and Rory French.

Mattishall dropped two points in a 2-2 draw at Sole Bay but are still very much in the hunt.
