Runton got their season up and running when they opened their account with a 3-1 home win over visitors Mundesley in the Optic Nightclub NE Norfolk League.

Champions Gimingham picked up their first maximum with a 4-0 success over visitors Corpusty.

Ludham are the early pacemakers following their 5-0 home win over Lyng while North Walsham A hit seven at Hickling, who replied once.

In Division Two, Briston lead the way following their odd goal win of three over Aldborough. Aylsham A put five past Mundesley Reserves without reply.

Erpingham lost at home to Stalham A 5-1, while Corpusty Reserves and Felmingham shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Worstead were odd goal winners of seven at home against Cromer Youth Old Boys, with Cawston and Holt Colts drawing one apiece

Although it is early days, the league management are concerned for the clubs who are having problems struggling with player shortages.

Currently there are grave concerns about several teams but it is hoped these will weather the storm and come through ok.
