A late equaliser from Scott Sell was enough to put AFC Wanderers on top of the Premier Division as they drew 1-1 at Dog House. Marlborough though are lurking menacingly in third spot after thumping Unicorns 9-1. The reigning champions are three points behind Wanderers with three games in hand.

There was a six goal thriller at Stimpsons Piece where Reepham and Acle Rangers took a point each in a 3-3 draw.

In 1A, there was a good 3-1 (Olly Ford 2, Paul Durrant) victory for leaders Dussindale at third placed Vale Longo, Jutty Womack scored for the home side, whilst at the other end of the table, Aslacton moved off of the bottom after a 2-1 win at Horsford SC. Shane Bartrum scored with a thirty yard stunner whilst Kevin Oakley added the second.

Congratulations go to Sprowston Rovers who, without kicking a ball, lifted the 1B title. Bayer’s 4-3 defeat at home to St Faiths means they cannot catch Sprowston and they now have to battle it out with Norfolk CCSC, who also had a bad day, losing 4-0 at home to Haig FC, for the playoff spot. St Faiths had twice come from behind as Dave Waters (2), Jordan King and Carl Branson scored their goals. Prince of Denmark were 4-2 winners at Rose Tavern and there was a 2-2 draw between Earlham United and Sprowston Wanderers.

In the two games that took place in 2A, Sprowston Sunday were 7-1 winners at Stoke FC whilst Norman Wanderers Reserves lost 4-2 at home to The Griffen. It’s going right to the wire in 2B. Moles Rest’s 6-1 victory leaves them on 44 points with one game to play. Acle Rangers Reserves, however, after a 9-1 win at Poringland Reserves also have 44 points but have two games left.

Riverside Rovers moved a step closer to becoming 3A champions after beating ten-man Dancing Farmers 3-2. Rovers were full of praise for their sporting opponents which is always good to hear. New Buckenham were 2-0 winners over Constable Crusaders, whilst Hellesdon Reserves scored seven without reply against River Garden. Sporting Longdale moved up from tenth to seventh spot after a 3-1 home win over Normans A.

In 3B, champions One Love scored a dozen whilst winning at The Gordon. Ebus Ono hit a double hat trick, Ronaldo Balde scored five and Tony Harewood grabbed one as they took their total to 104 goals this season. DEF FC scored the only goal of the game against Salhouse Rovers and Sloughbottom Revolution beat Freethorpe 5-0.

4A champions Bungay Town showed no sign of easing up after winning 6-3 at Earlham Colney, but Brooke now look favourites for the runners up spot. As they were beating Temples Property 3-0, nearest challengers Manor Park were going down to a 2-0 home defeat by Whiterose United for whom Simon Cullabine scored twice. Temple Bar beat Eaton Young Boys 4-0 and William Rovers won by the same score at Hockering Reserves. Phoenix Felthorpe and Sporting Longdale Reserves took a point each as they drew 4-4.

Schoolhouse closed to within three points of 4B leaders William Wanderers with two games in hand, after a 3-1 (Jack Smith, Chris Hall and Joshua Cullington) win at Windmill Elite. Ishmael Thompson was amongst the goals as Chapelfield Rovers moved up to third after winning 4-2 at Drayton, Sam Lincoln and Johnny Roy scored for the home side, and Spixworth Reserves scored six of the ten goals in their game at Dilham Cross Keys.
