Wroxham moved to within a point of the Ridgeons League Premier Division summit by winning emphatically, 4-0 at Halstead, while leaders Mildenhall were losing by the odd goal in five to second-placed Needham Market.

The Yachtsmen, with a game in hand on both of the two teams above them, are the only unbeaten side in the division and are looking increasingly confident as the campaign goes on.

They were never in trouble at Halstead from the moment Lee Gilman headed them into a seventh minute lead.

From then on they laid siege to the home goal. Shaun Howes scored their second from a 33rd minute penalty and Ben Thompson struck twice in the second half.

Soham thrashed Leiston 5-0 to move into fourth place above Kirkley, who were held 1-1 by Diss.

Tony Fields snatched a point for the Tangerines with an equaliser five minutes from time - but it wasn't enough to stop them slipping to the foot of the table. Kirkley took a 67th minute lead when Rob Horton's cross was deflected in by Mark Roper.

Norwich United dumped Diss on the bottom by spectacularly getting their first league win of the season - 4-0 at home to Felixstowe.

Two goals from Cork set them on their way and victory was sealed with second half goals from Whiley and Broadbent.

Champions Lowestoft dropped another couple of points with a 3-3 home draw against Stanway Rovers.

Dereham drew 1-1 at Harwich after Beaumont had given them the lead early in the second half.

Swaffham Town have opened a six point gap at the head of Division One after goals from Ben Hammond and Gary Setchell gave them a 2-1 win at third-placed Walsham-le-Willows.
