Ten-man Grove keep top spot

Despite having a player sent off in the first five minutes The Grove produced a great display to beat Wymondham Rangers 7-0.

Debut keeper Lee Edwards also saved the penalty resulting from the sending off. Gary Bee (2), Sam Mallett, Danny Pennall and a hat trick for substitute Arran James were the marksmen.

Marlborough had a 4-1 home win over Reepham Town whilst Acle Rangers had a good 2-0 win at Dog House. AFC Wanderers had goals by Luke Tuttle, Liam Blofeld, Duane Thompson and Ben Abrahams to thank for their 4-2 win at Aylsham Sunday and Unicorns took a two goal lead thanks to an Andrew Hawes double, but visitors Norwich Busmen hit back to score a late equaliser.

Two teams with 100% records faced each other in 1A and both remain undefeated as the top two, Vale Longo and Dussindale Rovers drew 1-1. Fiveways also have the perfect start so far and goals by Nicky Barker, Mike Callum and Tommy Want ensured a 3-1 home win over Eaton FC.

North Walsham moved up to fourth spot after winning by the odd goal of nine at Aslacton whilst Norman Wanderers and Windmill Wanderers took a point each after a 1-1 draw. Jody Cork scored twice as Hainford YCOB beat near neighbours Horsford SC 2-1 and The Castlegate won 3-2 at The Otter.

In 1B, Bayer FC scored seven without reply at St Faiths to take over top spot. Prince of Denmark also scored seven as they beat Rose Tavern and Haig FC had a good 4-2 victory at Spixworth. Sprowston Wanderers beat Earlham Utd 3-2 whilst Norfolk CCSC shared four goals and the points with Catton FC .

Division 2A leaders Hockering had a narrow 1-0 victory over Acle Wanderers and lead the table by two points from DCS Rapid who beat Stoke FC 3-1. Norman Wanderers Reserves won 3-2 at The Stores whilst Green Man gained another point in a 2-2 draw with Deopham who came from two down (Jonathan Oakley and Stephen Parry).

Maid Marian took on PL Rangers in 2B, and it was the home side who took the lead in the 14th minute when Clive Riches scored with an emphatic volley from a corner. PL responded and hit the bar before levelling the scores with a good finish. The second half continued in a competitive and even way and it was left to substitute Scott Laxton to score the winner for the home side. Referee Mark Smythe controlled the game very well indeed and both sides were a pleasure to watch.

Heartsease remain top of the division as they beat Hingham Athletic 5-1 and second placed Moles rest won 8-1 at Hillside OB. Acle Rangers Reserves beat Hethersett Athletic 5-1 at home and David Gilfillan, Rueben Clarke and Neil Dunthorne were on target for Poringland Reserves as they drew 3-3 with Sporting Farmhouse.

Its five out of five for the top two in 3A as New Buckenham beat Caseys Cosmos 5-3 and Riverside Rovers had a 3-0 home win over Constable Crusaders. Good to see Newsman Celtic up with the leading pack after a 5-1 victory over Dancing Farmers.

Chris Neave (2), Martyn Carver, Mark Fogarty and Lee Rayner scored five second half goals as a resurgent River Garden won 5-0 at The Reindeer. Sporting Longdale beat Mad Moose 3-1 and there was a 4-4 draw between Norman Wanderers A and Hellesdon Reserves.

In 3B, Salhouse Rovers came from 3-1 down to beat Bell Inn 7-3 (Neil Woolner 4, Philip Fordham, Michael Sommerfield and an own goal). Freethorpe beat Briston Wanderers 3-1 and there was another victory for Aylsham Reserves, this time 2-1 over AFC Oak. The Gordon visited Taverham Utd and won 2-1.

Brooke FC have climbed to the top of 4A after a 3-0 victory (Ben Nolan, Tom Miller and Lewis Clarry) over Earlham Colney. Phoenix Felthorpe are on the same number of points after beating William Rovers 3-1, as are Whiterose Utd who thumped Temple Bar 8-3.

Eaton Young Boys beat Sporting Longdale Reserves 2-0 and there was an eight goal thriller between Hockering Reserves and Temples Property, both of whom took a point.

William Wanderers top 4A after thumping Costessey Sports Reserves 9-1, but Dilham was the place to be in 4B if you wanted to see a thriller as the home side shared ten with Windmill Elite. Jamie Duffield (2), Michael London (2), Nicky Wood scored for Dilham in a game that saw the visitors equalise in the last minute. Spixworth Reserves grabbed a 2-1 win at Wendene Wanderers whilst Hethersett Reserves and Salhouse Reserves drew 1-1.
