Top two drop points to sides scrapping for safety

Division One leaders Castle Acre Swifts dropped two points in being held to a 3-3 draw by Gressenhall who belied their lowly position with a gritty performance and another point towards safety.
Similarly, second placed Dereham Town A also dropped two points as a result of their 3-3 draw at Bridgham United, a result which guarantees the South Norfolk club Division One football for next season. North Elmham won 4-0 at Shipdham and move into third spot above Morley Village who were beaten 4-1 at home by Tacolneston.
The two leaders in Division Two, West End and Scarning United, were without games which gave Mulbarton Wanderers Reserves the chance to close the gap on them. However, Hethersett Athletic had other ideas and dented Mulbarton’s title hopes by beating them 6-4. Necton finished their programme with a 3-2 win at to ensure finishing no lower than fourth and Nostro beat Sporle 2-0 in their last match.
Division Three leaders Litcham were again without a game. Second placed Stoke Ferry were held to a 3-3 draw by Hingham Athletic Reserves and are now just one point behind Litcham with five games in hand. Weeting won 5-1 at North Elmham Reserves and move above Hingham into third place. Splitz United beat bottom team Narborough Reserves 7-0 while Marham Wanderers won by the odd goal of three at Colkirk. The other match between Wendling and Methwold United ended as a 2-2 draw.
Mulbarton Wanderers A are back on top of Division Four after beating third placed Yaxham Reserves 4-0. This result ensures that Mulbarton will receive at least the runners up medals and have a one point advantage over Feltwell United Reserves in terms of the destination of the divisional championship. The other match between Castle Acre Swifts Reserves and Tacolneston Reserves ended a goal apiece.
