Wymondham have played a number of club games and have had some mixed results. The first game was at home to premier division Blofield and achieved a good 1-0 win, with Andy Duckham poking home from close range late on in the game.
The following Saturday Wymondham played host to division two side Reepham and drew 2-2. Wymondham went 2-0 nil up with excellent goals from new signings Simon Brighten and Neal Stannard.
Wymondham held this until late in the second half where we let in two soft goals. On the Friday we played in the President's Cup against an excellent Wroxham Reserves team. We lost 2-0 but matched our opponents for much of the game but could not find the killer touch. Thanks to Les King for this annual game.
On the Monday Wymondham put in a good performance but run out 2-1 losers to premier division newcomers Watton. With another new signing Mark Briggs getting the final touch from a set piece.
Wymondham have added Neal Stannard and Simon Brighten, both joining from Morley, Mark Briggs has signed from Hingham, Simon Cracknell has returned from Hempnall and James Thorpe is fit after missing a season through injury.
The club has also retained the services of the majority of last year's squad, including veterans Hill, Etheridge and Catchpole. Everyone at the club is looking forward to the season and hopes to improve upon last season's efforts.
