Norwich United face possibly the most important game in their history when they travel to Cheshunt needing the right result to retain their Bostik North place for next season.
The Planters, barring miracles elsewhere, need a point to ensure safety – Romford would require a 19-goal victory should Steve Eastaugh's men draw. Should Romford fail to win at home to a Maldon & Tiptree side with nothing to play for, the Planters would be safe. The Planters were close to grabbing that point on Tuesday when a late winner gave Heybridge Swifts the points – and then had to watch the scores coming in from Essex, with Romford beating Grays 3-2 on Wednesday.
It won't be easy for the Planters as Cheshunt won four games on the trot to pull themselves out of relegation trouble and drew 1-1 with champions AFC Hornchurch on Tuesday, but the Ambers will have to nullify leading scorer Adam Hipperson, who has six goals in the last three games.
