We Norwich City fans are not a very happy bunch at the moment.

That happy buzz that followed the Wolves game has well and truly disappeared.

I was away in Spain for the Derby and Burnley games, but the horrible chill in the pit of the stomach as my mobile gave me the results was as bad as if I had been here.

Watching the recorded highlights of the Burnley game on The Championship when I returned did little to improve my mood. We looked downright awful.

Unhappy and disappointed fans are quick to to express their feelings. The various internet message boards have been full of concerns, rumours and - what can always be relied on with Norwich fans - some brilliant humour, even if it is very dark and of the graveyard variety.

This week, via the Pink Un message board, NCISA arranged an informal open meeting to get fans together before the club AGM next Tuesday.

It is interesting that out of all the views expressed - apart from our total passion for our club - there is no real consensus on a way forward.

This mirrors the NCISA committee's own position at its October meeting where we decided to wait and see if anything important (or as I cynically think “relevant”) comes out of the AGM before considering the next move.

Personally, I have found the AGM to be an intensely frustrating occasion. A few shareholders ask questions ranging from the downright sycophantic to the mildly disgruntled.

Any serious criticism is ignored or the intelligence/motives of the questioner is belittled. I hope for better this time but am not convinced that we will get to hear good questions and serious answers - or indeed any good news.

A decent game today, however, would certainly help to raise the spirits.

I hope we had so much to cheer about on the pitch that the presence in the Jarrold Stand of one of our outstanding heroes won't distract from, but will complement, the action.

I'm sure we'll welcome Darren Huckerby home, but hopefully won't have embarrassed him nor demoralised our present team.
