Norwich City have signed Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Grounds in a three-month emergency loan deal.
The 20-year-old is set to be with the Canaries from September 1 to November 30, however, Middlesbrough have the ability of a 24-hour recall after the first 28 days are completed.
Grounds, who can play left-back or in the centre of defence, made his first-team debut for Middlesbrough against Liverpool in a 1-1 draw in January 2008.
Grounds provides further competition to Stefanovic, Kennedy, Doherty and Archibald-Henville at centre-back after Jason Shackell joined Wolves this morning.
