King's Lynn boss Keith Webb is confident his side will get back on track in tonight's pre-season test at Ridgeon's Premier Division Champions Wroxham. (7.45pm).

Lynn head to Trafford Park desperate to get a second half shocker out of their system after a 5-1 weekend defeat at Blue Square South Cambridge City.

“I'm not panicking and neither should anyone else,” insisted Webb. “This is all part of a learning curve for us and hopefully that will be in place before the start of the season. There were plenty of positives to take from the Cambridge game. Andrew Fisk came in and did alright, the front two worked hard and Joe Francis took his goal well. He tired a little towards the end, but he already looks to be very cool in front of goal at this level. The Wroxham game is an ideal opportunity to put the last one behind us.”

Francis finished a flowing move at Milton Road to nudge Lynn ahead with his second strike since joining the club from Woodbridge earlier in the summer.

Michael Gash pegged back the visitors before the interval and the floodgates opened after the break - something Webb is keen to remedy.

“That was the disappointing thing,” he said. “We concede a goal and our response is to go a little Kung-ho to try and get one ourselves in the next few minutes instead of sitting in, being solid, getting control back and then looking to push on.

“What you have to do in those circumstances is to get into a position where everyone is solid for the next five or ten minutes. If you only have two or three doing it then it is like the boy in the dam trying to plug every hole. It's something we will put right - don't worry about that.”

Striker Danny Bloomfield returns after missing Lynn's weekend defeat. Greg Crane and Jack Defty are poised to step up their pre-season campaign after shaking off niggling injuries to appear against City.

Former West Brom trainee Shaun Ridgway will feature again but Webb has ruled out a return for ex-Alfreton trialist Andy Tiday.
