City's Academy side completed their home fixtures this afternoon when they went down by the odd goal in three against Spurs when in truth the Canaries could count themselves unlucky not to get something out of the game that they dominated for long periods.

David Williams side made the more positive start with full back Andrew Cave-Brown getting forward to support the front men inside the first few minutes and it was City who had the first attempt on goal with Chris Martin seeing his shot saved by David Button in the Spurs goal.

Moments later Button again came to the visitors rescue when he blocked a shot from Seb Muddel after the Canary striker did well to hold off the challenge of a Spurs defender.

City keeper Steve Arnold was well placed to save a shot from Radwan Hamed before the action quickly switched to the visitors penalty box where Bally Smart had his shot blocked after good build-up play involving Martin and Muddel.

Lee Howlett playing probably his last game for the Academy had his shot deflected wide for a corner while captain Matthew Halliday saw his header from a Robert Eagle corner cleared off the line.

Late in the half the lively Patrick Bexfield saw one shot just go inches wide of the target before he saw a volley destined for the top of the left-hand corner blocked by a Spurs defender.

After a quiet opening period to the second half the visitors broke the deadlock on 65 minutes when JACQUES MAGHOMA fired in from close range, this coming after Arnold had made two initial saves.

Just two minutes later City were back on level terms after Smart picked out MARTIN who did well to control the ball before firing a shot past Button.

City had a couple of opportunities to take the lead with Eagle and Martin going close but on 80 minutes Spurs completed the scoring when JAKE LIVERMORE beat Arnold with a low shot.
