HETHERSETT ATHLETIC LADIES' rise up the Eastern Region Premier Division continued as they scored a battling 3-2 victory at home to Bedford with goals from Stacey Annison, Lucy Middleton and Grace Birchall. The win takes the team into second place with 11 points from their opening five games. They are one of only two teams in the division with an unbeaten record which is remarkable as most of the players are still in their teens and inexperienced at this high level of the women's game. This week Hethersett will be looking to make it four league wins in a row when they take on Barking at Wroxham, 2pm.

HETHERSETT ATHLETIC LADIES HEARTS were rather unlucky to be on the wrong end of a 5-1 scoreline at home to Stalham in their first league game of the season. Without a number of key players, Hethersett played some neat football but were caught on the break too often. Hearts' scorer was Hannah Dugdale.

HETHERSETT ATHLETIC GIRLS U15 put in a good performance but ended with nothing to show from a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Norwich City. Hethersett led when the City keeper could only partially block a Sophie Rock shot, after a good though-ball from midfield. Hethersett played some of their best passing football in the first half. Norwich equalised, pouncing on a defensive error and then scored the winner following a goalmouth scramble in the second half.
