Norwich City winger Wes Hoolahan has been linked with a move to Championship side Swansea City.

The 26-year-old Irishman has reportedly visited the Liberty Stadium in the last week for talks over a move from Carrow Road.

The likes of Alan Lee and Danny Webber have also been linked with the Swans since Paulo Sousa took charge during the summer, but Jordi Lopez remains his only new recruit to date as Swansea sit with just one point from their opening three Championship fixtures.

Sousa is not expecting any deal to be completed before tomorrow's matches, with Hoolahan having started all four of Norwich's matches this season.

Former boss Bryan Gunn admitted it may be difficult for City to keep hold of Hoolahan, who joined from Blackpool in a deal worth around 250,000 last summer, after the club's relegation to League One.

And new manager Paul Lambert said this morning at Colney: “I think that's the nature of the beast. Teams want players - it can happen. What I have to do is get a team here that I think is capable of winning games.

“It's not about any one individual at the club, we have to get the team. If the balance is right in the team, what personnel plays we have to wait and see.”

Lambert signed Hoolahan from Shelbourne during his time as Livingston manager in 2006.
