The draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup have thrown up the possibility of an intriguing local derby.

Should Dereham beat Leiston at home and Wroxham win away at Wellingborough Town in their extra preliminary round ties on August 15 they will then meet at Aldiss Park in the next stage of the competition two weeks later.

Yarmouth Town can also set up a big local clash, with a trip to newly promoted Lowestoft lying in wait should they win their home match against Raunds Town.

Meanwhile Kirkley & Pakefield and Diss will meet at Walmer Road if they can get through preliminary round ties against Walsham-le-Willows (away) and Cogenhoe (home) respectively.

In the first round proper the winners of the Lowestoft tie will host the winners of the Dereham versus Wroxham tie, assuming they get through of course, while Kirkley or Diss face the prospect of a trip to either Soham, St Ives or Daventry.

In the first qualifying round of the FA Vase (September 5) ties include Haverhill Rovers v Swaffham and Woodbridge v Great Yarmouth, with most local teams coming in a later stage of the competition.
