Norwich City have been handed a marathon journey in the Carling Cup first round after being drawn away to Yeovil.
The tie will be played at Huish Park in the week starting August 10.
The 500-mile round trip to the West Country will be one of the longest of the season for City fans.
The two clubs have met only twice previously, the Canaries winning FA Cup ties at Yeovil in 1953 and 1980.
They will meet for the first time in league action in this season's League One programme.
Yeovil finished 17th in League One last season, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
On City's last visit to Yeovil, in January 1980, they won 3-0 in the FA Cup third round with goals from Graham Paddon, Keith Robson and Justin Fashanu in front of a crowd of 8,523. Yeovil were then an Alliance Premier League side.
Norwich City boss Bryan Gunn told the club's official website: "It's a game which we will be looking to win. It's the match after our league opener and hopefully we'll be making it two wins out of two to cement a winning start to the competitive season.
"Yeovil are obviously one of our fellow League One teams so it's an early chance to assess them with a view to the two league games we will play against them.
"Of course it's one of those which involves a lot of travelling for our supporters, so the backing of our fans on the night will be important and, as always, much appreciated.
"We go into every game looking to win and the Carling Cup will be no exception. It gives a chance for us to put together a run and hopefully reach the latter stages of the competition.
"The winning mentality is something we want to get back into the club and that obviously includes cup competitions as well as the league so we will be going to Yeovil looking for the victory."
