Ipswich Town are poised to name former Sunderland manager Roy Keane as their new manager in succession to Jim Magilton, who was sacked three days after he had masterminded a 3-2 derby victory over the Canaries.
Keane has been out of football since December 2008, when he suprisingly stood down as Sunderland manager after two and a half seasons in which he had taken them into the Premier League and then managed to keep them in it.
