Outbreaks of crowd trouble marred a rare away win for Norwich City, with two City fans reported to be in hospital.

The Canaries' 1-0 win at Bramall Lane was overshadowed by reports of bottles being thrown at goalkeeper Angus Gunn during the match - then a handful of City fans apparently being attacked by their rivals in the immediate aftermath.

Tension built throughout the game at Bramall Lane as Norwich put in an effective performance after Yanic Wildschut's 23rd-minute goal.

Blades fans were angry about time-wasting by Norwich players as they tried to see out the match.

But members of City's travelling army of 1,800 were furious at how they claimed it boiled over after the final whistle.

A tweet from @MickDennisReal read: 'Three #ncfc fans attacked by #sufc fans who went in through our exit. At least 2 in hospital.'

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said they had arrested a 22-year-old man from Norwich on suspicion of assault, and a 39-year-old man from Norwich on a public order offence.
