Norwich City forward Josh Sargent will feature in a documentary about him ahead of his appearance at the World Cup with the USA.

The Canaries will release the feature-length film, titled Resilient, on their own channels this weekend, charting the rise of the American international from his early life in O'Fallon, Missouri to his eventual call up ahead of the tournament this winter.

The club are also running promotions on shirts bearing the 22-year-old's name, with free 'Sargent 24' printing available on their 2022-23 kits today.

Sargent is the eighth player to attend a World Cup while on City's books, after Martin O'Neill, Chris Woods, Bryan Gunn, Robert Fleck, Andy Townsend, Efan Ekoku, Tim Krul and Leroy Fer.

He expressed his excitement for the tournament following his goal in Norwich's 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough last weekend, saying: "Scoring a goal before the World Cup helps my confidence a lot, so (I'm) very happy to get one. Everybody wants to showcase themselves, because every club in the world will be watching."
