Floral tributes have been left on the steps of City Hall to remember lives lost in 2022.
Several bunches of flowers have been laid down with some of them including notes.
One message states: "For those we've lost but have not found."
Another reads: "Remembering those lost to waiting lists."
The city council has confirmed the flowers are not the result of any actions of the authority or its contractors.
It follows a march for the Transgender Day of Remembrance taking place on Saturday, November 19 from Chapelfield Gardens to City Hall in St Peters Street.
This attracted around 100 people and mirrored other vigils taking place across the country - including in Soho Square in London.
Held annually on November 20, the day started in 1999 when a vigil was organised to remember transgender woman Rita Hester, who was killed in 1998 in America.
The vigils reflected struggles with gender identity clinic waiting lists.
